CBD Spain: Difference between Hemp and Marijuana

The Real CBD - Hemp vs. Marijuana explanation

First of all, it is important to explain the difference between Hemp and Marijuana. Marijuana comes from the Cannabis Indica plant. This cannabis strain is mainly grown for its high values of THC. I will explain later what THC exactly contains, but it is known for its psychoactive properties, and also the “High” feeling.

Hemp, on the other hand, is grown for industrial purposes. The number of products that can be made is estimated at around 25,000. This is because the percentage of THC in hemp is negligible. (<0.2%). This means that it does not work psychoactively and is not cultivated for that. The hemp plant does contain the special and positive properties of the cannabis plant and among other things, CBD is extracted from this. Because there are no side effects associated with CBD and the product is 100% natural, it is completely safe to try to see if it has a beneficial effect on you.

What is CBD?

CBD is the abbreviation of Cannabidiol. This is one of the 114 active substances from the hemp of the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol, CBD, is found in flowers and leaves of the hemp plant.

This CBD resin (Biomass) is often diluted with hemp seed oil, coconut oil, olive oil, or sunflower oil, making the CBD into an oil. This oil acts on the receptor cells of the body and stimulates the reaction of the nervous system and the immune system of the human body. This system that every human being has, they call the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system regulates the functioning of all the cells in your body and therefore it is important to support this. What exactly CBD does is help the cells that are healthy in our body to stay healthy, but the cells that radically change also cause them to destroy themselves. That is why CBD supports oil in many symptoms.

What is THC?

THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol. People know this substance mainly for its psychoactive effect, also known as “high” or “stoned”. THC is the most researched and recognized ingredient of cannabis. It locks with the nerve cell receptors in the brain, affecting human behavior. Dopamine is released because of THC on the brain. The effects of THC last about 2 hours and start within 10-30 minutes after use.

The most psychoactive ingredient is THC. CBD, on the other hand, is completely non-psychoactive. THC, therefore, gives a “high” feeling, while CBD does not. The non-psychoactive properties make CBD a good candidate for medical examinations.
