Cannabidiol (CBD) against inflammation
Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is one of the best known non-psychoactive substances in hemp. The anti-inflammatory property of CBD has its origin in the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system makes an important contribution to a healthy body. It works with a number of the body’s own cannabinoids, but the mechanism is also sensitive to cannabinoids in CBD Oil. This unique collaboration explains why cannabis has so many beneficial properties.
Essential in this collaboration are two cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) that are found throughout the body. These receptors can be seen as buttons that are only pressed by cannabinoids. As soon as the button is pressed, all kinds of processes take place that promotes our health and, if necessary, restore it.
CBD’s effect on inflammation
One of the biggest problems with inflammation is pain. Scientists long ago associated chronic pain with an overactive inflammatory response in several diseases and conditions. A study in 2012 found that CBD therapy suppresses chronic inflammation and neuropathic pain. Best of all, participants in the study did not develop tolerance to the cannabinoid. Risk of dependence and addiction is therefore excluded.
