Does CBD oil have THC?

It’s like asking if the cake has chocolate! Some do and some don’t and it all depends on the manufacturer. Here we try to answer that question in layman terms.

The hemp plant contains approximately 114 phyto cannabinoids which make the plant complete. Because of technology today we can extract and separate those cannabinoids and explore them separately.

What is the Difference Between THC and CBD?

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the two primary cannabinoids that occur naturally in the hemp plant. Both of these cannabinoids interact with the cannabinoid receptors in the human body and brain, but they differ dramatically in their effects.

CBD is non-psychoactive which means that it will not get you high. THC is the cannabinoid responsible for creating the ‘high’.

Hemp has high contents of CBD and low contents of THC

Marijuana (Cannabis) is opposite – high on THC and low on CBD.

Does CBD oil contain THC?

Full-Spectrum CBD products

Full-spectrum CBD products are full of all the terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, and fatty acids found in hemp, all of which have a therapeutic value of their own.  Europe has allowed  THC contents of 0.2% in CBD products. We at The Real CBD believe, that THC has a very important role in a full-spectrum product. cannabinoidsAll the cannabinoids (CBD,THC,CBG,CBC,CBN etc.) work together to offer the best benefits of the end product. It is called the Entourage effect. THC has many good things to offer also in very small amounts.

Some of the benefits are:

Broad Spectrum CBD products

Broad-spectrum CBD is full-spectrum CBD without any THC. Many producers prefer to completely take all THC out of their oils, mostly because of the law where they either produce or where they sell to.

CBD Isolate Products

Some producers use CBD isolates which is a CBD ONLY product. All other cannabinoids have been taken out, to make the marketing and sales of these products easier and legal across borders. CBD isolate is 99.8% pure CBD. During the CBD isolate extraction process, everything contained in the plant matter is removed. This includes any traces of THC, terpenes, waxes, oils, chlorophyll and more. What you’re left with is pure CBD…and nothing else.

Phytocannabinoid rich products (PCR)

PCR stands for phytocannabinoid rich. In this case, using alcohol distillation and the most dominant phytocannabinoids (THC and CBD) and terpenes are separated. This process allows producing extractions that are 0.0% THC and to preserve a partial set of terpenes from the original plant.

Why would no THC be a good option?

There are several reasons as to why a company may choose to implement a drug and alcohol testing policy for its employees. Different companies will test for different drugs, but the most common package is a urine test for cannabis, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepine, and opiates. Unlike alcohol testing, what drug testing will not tell you is whether a person is either under the influence of a drug or what the level of impairment is. It will simply tell you whether the metabolites of a drug are present.

THC metabolites can build up in our fatty tissue and a drug test will show positive. Here is where the THC free products come into play. A very good option for people subjected to drug tests on their workplace or sports club.

NEW – The CBD pain Patch to relieve you from your pain!

We love it when CBD and creativity join forces. It’s the result of our hard work and finally, we can offer some truly unique pain patches!

Advantages using the CBD Pain Patch

CBD patches for pain deliver the power and pain relieving CBD (Cannabidiol) into your bloodstream. This by absorbing through multiple layers of your skin. Other delivery methods like vaping CBD or taking edibles can reduce the bioavailability (amount of CBD going into your body). As the CBD compounds need to go through the respiratory or digestive system, before reaching your bloodstream. For example, if you take an 8 mg CBD orally, you will have less of the beneficial value than if you used an 8 mg CBD transdermal patch.

CBD Pain Patch dosage

Another major advantage that the patch is able to offer is you never have to remember when to take your next dosage oil. The patch goes to work automatically while you get on with your day, even if you travel a lot, works different shifts, sleeps late or is busy night and day raising a family. The ingredients are released into the skin over a timed release through absorption.

Additional benefit of using patches is that the CBD is supplied gradually and constantly, rather than in a large, single dose. Patches utilize the skin’s natural barrier properties in order to achieve a constant delivery cannabidiol and achieve steadier blood levels as compared to oils, vaping or edibles.

How does it work? How does it work?

Our skin is the largest organ we have. It covers and protects the body, regenerates when needed, and provides limited but essential penetration. The skin has three layers.

  1. The first layer is called the epidermis. The epidermis is the skin’s outermost layer. This is the layer that contains the primary barrier of the skin to the entry of foreign substances. The epidermis is the layer upon which a transdermal patch is placed.
  2. The second layer of the skin is called the dermis. It lies beneath the epidermis and contains connective tissue that gives the skin structure and strength. The dermis also contains sweat glands and hair follicles. This layer of skin transmits the CBD from the patch into the deepest layer.
  3. The deepest and third layer of skin is called the hypodermis. It is deeper tissue and is made of fat and more connective tissue. This layer contains blood vessels which also reach into the dermis and epidermis. These blood vessels are important in the transmission of CBD from the patch to the bloodstream.

CBD Oil and Cancer

Cannabis is the Latin name for hemp, a plant that enjoys special interest because of the psychological and physical effects. Ever since ancient times, it has been a popular herbal remedy for calming, analgesic, antidepressant, sleep-inducing, nausea-suppressing, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and appetite-inducing properties. The best-known cannabis products are marijuana (weed) and hash, but CBD (Cannabidiol) is gaining popularity and people are slowly opening up towards the medicinal properties of hemp.

The active ingredient of Cannabis

The active ingredients of cannabis are the so-called cannabinoids. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the most abundant. THC is the psychoactive ingredient that makes users high or stoned. CBD mitigates the effects of THC, has an antipsychotic effect and seems to protect against addiction. The ratio between THC and CBD determines the effects and side effects of cannabis.

Medicinal cannabis

According to the Dutch Office for Medicinal Cannabis (the government organization responsible for the production of cannabis for medicinal purposes), there are sufficient scientific data that shows that cannabis can be effective to help:

  • Pain caused by cancer
  • Multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and chronic bowel inflammation
  • Nausea, loss of appetite, weakening in treatment of cancer and AIDS
  • Nausea and vomiting due to medication or radiation in cancer,
  • Muscle cramps and muscle twitches in multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury
  • Prolonged nerve pain, ex. due to damage to a neural pathway, phantom pain, facial pain or chronic pain that persists after healing of shingles
  • Tics in Gilles de la Tourette syndrome
  • Therapy-resistant glaucoma

Can CBD oil cure cancer?

CBD alone can not cure cancer. The active cannabinoids in the cannabis plant are like your internal endocannabinosystemid  (ECS). Your body’s endocannabinoids are responsible for keeping your body in balance. When your body is out of balance and in a state of stress, your endocannabinoids work, over time, to correct this imbalance. The endocannabinoids in the cannabis plant enable your body to restore this balance, which is one of the reasons why cannabis works so well for you if you have cancer.

The whole plant is needed when helping to treat cancer, and this includes THC. THC encapsulates the cancer cells and makes them “commit suicide” which then keeps them from mutating and grow. Not every cancer patient want to feel high or stoned for weeks, which is where CBD comes into action. CBD counteracts the feeling of being high or stones so that the patient can actually function in everyday life.

Side Effects of Cannabis for Cancer

As all cancers are different, some can be treated quickly, whereas others take time and cause a lot of discomfort and pain. Cancer not only affects you as an individual but it also your family and friends. It’s crucial to have the best quality of life you possibly can while you’re fighting the disease. Gentle and effective treatments, like cannabis, can contribute to a better quality of life.

CBD Spain: Difference between hemp and cannabis

First of all, it is important to explain the difference between Hemp and Cannabis. Cannabis comes from the “Cannabis Stava” plant. This plant is mainly grown for its high values of THC. I will explain later what THC exactly contains, but it is known for its psychoactive properties, also the “High” feeling. Hemp, on the other hand, is grown for industrial purposes. The number of products that can be made is estimated at around 25,000. This is because the percentage of THC in hemp is negligible. (<0.2%). This means that it does not work psychoactively and is not cultivated for that. The hemp plant does contain the special and positive properties of the cannabis plant and among other things, CBD is extracted from this. Because there are no side effects associated with CBD and the product is 100% natural, it is completely safe to try to see if it has a beneficial effect on you.

What is CBD?

CBD is the abbreviation of Cannabidiol. This is one of the 104 active substances from hemp of the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol, CBD, is found in the small blisters (trichomes) that grow on the hemp flowers. This sticky substance is removed from the vesicles and what remains is the CBD. This CBD is often diluted with hemp oil, coconut oil, olive oil or sunflower oil, making the CBD into an oil. This oil acts on the receptor cells of the body and stimulates the reaction of the nervous system and the immune system of the human body. This system that every human being has, they call the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system regulates the functioning of all the cells in your body and therefore it is important to support this. What exactly CBD does is help the cells that are healthy in our body to stay healthy, but the cells that radically change also cause them to destroy themselves. That is why CBD supports oil in many symptoms.

What is THC?

THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol. People know this substance mainly for its psychoactive effect, also known as “high” or “stoned”. THC is the most researched and recognized ingredient of cannabis. It locks with the nerve cell receptors in the brain, affecting human behavior. Dopamine is released due to the interaction of THC on the brain. The effects of THC last about 2 hours and start within 10-30 minutes after use.

High as a kite with CBD?

The most psychoactive ingredient is THC. CBD, on the other hand, is completely non-psychoactive. THC, therefore, gives a “high” feeling, while CBD does not. The non-psychoactive properties make CBD a good candidate for medical examinations.

How do you use CBD Oil?

Different CBD products have different ways of intake. CBD Oil should be dripped under your tongue and swallowed after 30 seconds. This is best 3 times a day before a meal, with which you slowly build up the number of drops at a time. Continue to increase slowly until your body indicates that the dose is sufficient. This can vary per person. Up to 15-25 drops per day. The maximum number of drops is different for everyone. Take the capsules with CBD Oil with water before meals.

What dosage should I use from CBD Oil?

Roughly the following applies:

  • 3% for children, pets, and light complaints.
  • 5% for adults and average complaints.
  • We recommend 10% or higher to use the more serious clinical pictures.

Is CBD Oil legal?

CBD Oil is 100% legal in Europe. This is because these products contain no or very little THC. THC or cannabis oil is not legal. This is because it has the ipsycho-active effect which is also called high.

What can CBD Oil be used for

The quality of life is important to everyone. Quality of life is the functioning of persons in physical, psychological and social areas. One of the key ingredients of CBD oil is cannabidiol. 1970 cannabis vs. 2018 cannabis – A world of difference!

They came in kilo bricks. By boat, in trucks, and in cargo planes, pounds of dried-up flakes and pieces of cannabis plants worked their way up from Colombia to be distributed and sold throughout the world. While cannabis has been a part of some cultures since day one, cannabis today is certainly not what it used to be. Not only has the industry changed, but so have the plant’s potency and general appearance.
