Cannabidiol (CBD), the most important non-psychoactive natural component of industrial cannabis or hemp, is the world’s newest discovery against serious, even deadly infections.
A recent discovery found that CBD could become the next anti-biotics
Antibiotic resistance is a growing concern in the healthcare system. One that the W H O called a “global health crisis” as far back as 2015. With recent research suggesting that antibiotic-resistant bacteria lurk in the dark corners of hospitals, including privacy curtains. Any component that could help fight infections, without adding to the resistance problem would be a huge win for public health.
Cannabidiol to be the latest antibiotic
Research shown at the ASM Microbe 2019, CBD is now approved by the FDA to the treatment of some forms of epilepsy. CBD is currently being tested for many medical conditions such as anxiety, inflammation, and pain. There are still very few scientific data to claim that CBD can kill bacteria and it has not yet been thoroughly tested for its antibiotic properties.
At The University of Queensland’s Institute for Molecular Bioscience, Dr. Mark Blaskovich has found evidence that CBD has great efficiency in killing a large range of bacteria of the Gram-positive kind (Gram-characteristic of bacteria all have a cell wall composed of a thick layer of a particular substance). These finding also included bacteria which have become resistant to some anti-biotic. Furthermore, CBD did not lose its effectiveness after a long treatment. Best of all Dr. M. Blaskovich proved that CBD was also effective at disrupting biofilms, which is a physical bacteria growth that develops into “hard-to-treat” bacteria.
Conclusion of the study: Cannabidiol (CBD) Importantly, the drug retained its activity against bacteria that have become highly resistant to other common antibiotics. Under extended exposure conditions that lead to resistance against vancomycin or daptomycin, Cannabidiol did not lose effectiveness. Cannabidiol was also effective at disrupting biofilms, a physical form of bacteria growth that leads to difficult-to-treat infections.
Cannabidiol (CBD) and pain
CBD is becoming increasingly popular as a natural and safe alternative treatment for pain complaints. CBD can offer support in the treatment of numerous, common pain complaints. Think of the following disorders:
- Chronic pain
- Multiple sclerosis
- Nerve inflammations
The component responsible for the analgesic properties of cannabis is cannabidiol or CBD. Unlike THC, another important active ingredient, CBD is not psychoactive. Therefore, it does not cause a high. Not a week goes by without new research on the medicinal benefits of CBD being published.

Another active cannabinoid in hemp, in addition to THC and CBD, is CBG. Cannabigerol, as the substance is called full, receives more and more media attention. And not without reason. Like THC and CBD, CBG also has an analgesic effect. The first trials with the cannabinoid seem to yield special results. Cannabigerol is an antioxidant and prevents the formation of free radicals. It appears that inflammation can be prevented by CBG lowering oxidative stress. It is known that CBG can offer relief from intestinal inflammations, such as in Crohn’s disease.

Why is CBD powder so effective?
In this case – size matters !!! At least in this explanation on why The Real CBD’s Water Soluble Full Spectrum CBD powder works better and faster than the conventional CBD oil in tinctures. Not only does it work better, but it also has no taste and no smell.
So, to answer the question – Why is CBD powder so effective? – we have to break down the substance. As mentioned before, size matters, and here we are talking about molecule size. The CBD molecule size in a finished product is what matters. Atoms are the tiny units, which gathers to form all the chemical substances. Atoms can join with other atoms in various ways and create thousands of molecules. Sometimes, there are very weak connections between atoms. Particles and molecules have similar behavior because the molecule is also a particle. Confusing… don’t worry! First, let us explain a few things.
According to Wikipedia bioavailability means: the proportion of a drug or other substance which enters the circulation when introduced into the body and so is able to have an active effect.
CBD oil in tinctures
Most of the cells in our body are only capable of absorbing molecules which are 60 to 80 nanometers in size. To give you an idea of just how small these units are, a nanometer is one billionth of a meter. The cannabinoid particles in most commercially made CBD oils, no matter how high the quality, is about 2000+ micrometers.
Liposome CBD products
A liposome is a body of fat that surrounds or is attached to another molecule ( in this case, CBD) at the molecular level. Scientists and doctors recognize liposomes as a potent way of delivering nutrients. These microscopic fat pockets surround the CBD they intend to deliver. The body is much more capable of absorbing the nutrients present in a liposome, because of its size (100+ micrometers).
NANO-emulsified CBD Products
The average size of a nano-emulsified drop of oil is 25 nanometers in comparison to liposomal CBD that is between 100+ nanometers. Because of this small size, there is a much larger surface area that is able to enter the bloodstream. When this happens, the body absorbs CBD more efficiently. The Nano CBD products are created by breaking up cannabis extract into 10-100 nanometer droplets.
The Real CBD Patented CBD Powder

VIDEO – CBD Oil for Golfers? Yeah right…whatever. It may seem lightyears apart, (professional) golf and the often unknown world of CBD, but you might be in for a hell of a surprise!
CBD for Golfers?
A growing list of Tour players endorse the use of CBD products. While people are busy discussing the benefits, either real or perceived, the use of CBD Oil in Golf is difficult to ignore.
As known by many, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration doesn’t allow companies to market CBD products – which range from hemp-oil extracts to gummies – as treatments or cures for diseases like epilepsy, diabetes and Alzheimer’s, or psychiatric issues like anxiety or depression. Yet, its growing popularity is a fact. And although the Tour has no estimates on CBD use among Tour players, anecdotally the product’s popularity has increased dramatically over the last 12 months. Due to its immense worldwide popularity, the trend is spreading to the world of amateur golf.
But let’s stick to the world of professional golf for now. Legendary pro Phil Mickelson was spotted lurking at the Masters at nearly 49 years old, back in April. He is always experimenting with new things to try to stay young, powerful and a step ahead of the competition. That includes increasing his swing speed using Super Speed Golf, chewing gum during his round and, potentially, taking CBD oil!
During the 2019 Masters (April 2019), a number of fans spotted Mickelson using a pipette to put a few drops of a liquid from a bottle into his mouth. He wasn’t trying to flaunt he was doing it, perhaps because it looks a little strange to the casual observer. However, to fans who have used CBD oil or have seen others use it, they knew right away what they thought they saw.
Mickelson hasn’t himself mentioned if he’s using CBD oil.

Does CBD oil have THC?
It’s like asking if the cake has chocolate! Some do and some don’t and it all depends on the manufacturer. Here we try to answer that question in layman terms.
The hemp plant contains approximately 114 phyto cannabinoids which make the plant complete. Because of technology today we can extract and separate those cannabinoids and explore them separately.
What is the Difference Between THC and CBD?
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the two primary cannabinoids that occur naturally in the hemp plant. Both of these cannabinoids interact with the cannabinoid receptors in the human body and brain, but they differ dramatically in their effects.
CBD is non-psychoactive which means that it will not get you high. THC is the cannabinoid responsible for creating the ‘high’.
Hemp has high contents of CBD and low contents of THC
Marijuana (Cannabis) is opposite – high on THC and low on CBD.
Does CBD oil contain THC?
Full-Spectrum CBD products
Full-spectrum CBD products are full of all the terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, and fatty acids found in hemp, all of which have a therapeutic value of their own. Europe has allowed THC contents of 0.2% in CBD products. We at The Real CBD believe, that THC has a very important role in a full-spectrum product. All the cannabinoids (CBD,THC,CBG,CBC,CBN etc.) work together to offer the best benefits of the end product. It is called the Entourage effect. THC has many good things to offer also in very small amounts.
Some of the benefits are:
- Pain relief
- Eases nausea and vomiting
- Protects the brain cells
- Effective sleep aid
- Helps treat PTSD
- Anti-tumor agent
Broad Spectrum CBD products
Broad-spectrum CBD is full-spectrum CBD without any THC. Many producers prefer to completely take all THC out of their oils, mostly because of the law where they either produce or where they sell to.
CBD Isolate Products
Some producers use CBD isolates which is a CBD ONLY product. All other cannabinoids have been taken out, to make the marketing and sales of these products easier and legal across borders. CBD isolate is 99.8% pure CBD. During the CBD isolate extraction process, everything contained in the plant matter is removed. This includes any traces of THC, terpenes, waxes, oils, chlorophyll and more. What you’re left with is pure CBD…and nothing else.
Phytocannabinoid rich products (PCR)
PCR stands for phytocannabinoid rich. In this case, using alcohol distillation and the most dominant phytocannabinoids (THC and CBD) and terpenes are separated. This process allows producing extractions that are 0.0% THC and to preserve a partial set of terpenes from the original plant.
Why would no THC be a good option?
There are several reasons as to why a company may choose to implement a drug and alcohol testing policy for its employees. Different companies will test for different drugs, but the most common package is a urine test for cannabis, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepine, and opiates. Unlike alcohol testing, what drug testing will not tell you is whether a person is either under the influence of a drug or what the level of impairment is. It will simply tell you whether the metabolites of a drug are present.
THC metabolites can build up in our fatty tissue and a drug test will show positive. Here is where the THC free products come into play. A very good option for people subjected to drug tests on their workplace or sports club.
