Wat is hennep?
Het is dezelfde soort plant als cannabis. De wetenschappelijke naam is Cannabis sativa. De hoeveelheid delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in hennep is veel lager dan in cannabis (THC).
Cannabinoïden zoals cannabidiol (CBD), cannabidivarine (CBDV), cannabigerol (CBG) en andere stoffen worden ook in beide planten gevonden. Er zitten vetten, proteïnen en andere chemische stoffen in hennepzaad.
